Batch Image Resizer

Resize a Folder of Photos in One Click

Resize a whole folder of images in one click.

Drop an image or click to upload

Free to try.

Drop a folder, a zip, or up to 100 individual images and pick a target size. Every image comes back resized to the same dimensions, with aspect-ratio handling configurable per-batch. Useful before bulk-uploading to a CMS that has size limits, before emailing a folder of holiday photos, or before sharing wedding photos with family.

What batch resize actually saves you

Resizing 50 photos one at a time in any single-image tool takes 20+ minutes of clicking. Batch resize takes 30 seconds. The output is a downloadable zip with every image at the exact target dimensions, named the same as the input.

Compared to using a desktop tool like Lightroom or Affinity Photo for batch export, this tool requires zero install, zero settings to remember between sessions, and works on any device with a browser.

How to batch resize

  1. Drop a zip, folder, or multiple files. Free tier: 30 files per batch. Premium: 100 files per batch.
  2. Pick target dimensions or a preset (Full HD, web hero, email-friendly 1200×900, social square, etc.).
  3. Choose aspect-ratio handling:
    • Contain (default) — image fits inside the target dimensions; aspect preserved; no crop
    • Cover — image fills the target dimensions; edges cropped to fit; no distortion
    • Stretch — image stretches to exact target dimensions; aspect distorted
  4. Optionally choose output format (default: same as input). Convert all to JPG for smallest output, or PNG for lossless preservation.
  5. Download the zip. One file containing every resized image.

Common batch workflows

Wedding / event photos for sharing. Drop the 200-photo folder, resize to 2048-wide (large enough for full-screen viewing, small enough to email), download zip. Send to family.

E-commerce product photos. Bulk-resize all product shots to your platform's recommended size (Amazon, Shopify, BigCommerce all have specific sizes).

Blog / website hero images. Standardise every image at 1920×1080 or 1600×900 before uploading to your CMS.

Email-friendly resize. 1200×900 max keeps each image under 500 KB JPG; the whole batch fits comfortably in any email.

What batch resize doesn't do

It applies one set of dimensions to every image. If your batch contains a mix of portrait and landscape, the same target dimensions might not be ideal for both. For mixed batches, our Batch Image Optimizer picks dimensions per file based on the source aspect.

It doesn't crop intelligently per image — every photo gets the same crop logic (Contain / Cover / Stretch). For subject-aware per-file cropping use Smart Crop on each one (or our forthcoming Smart Batch Crop on Premium).

Frequently asked questions

How many files per batch?

Free: 30 per batch. Premium: 100 per batch. Multiple batches per day allowed.

What if the images have mixed aspect ratios?

The Contain mode preserves each image's aspect inside the target box. Cover mode crops to fill. Stretch mode distorts (rarely what you want).

Can I resize to different sizes per image?

Not in this tool — it applies one target to every file. For per-file dimensions use individual Image Resizer calls.

Does it preserve EXIF?

Yes by default for every file. Strip with our EXIF Stripper if you want a clean batch.

Maximum batch size?

Free: up to 200 MB total per batch. Premium: 1 GB per batch.

Output as zip or individual files?

Zip — easier to download than 30 separate files.

How fast?

Roughly 0.2–0.5 seconds per image. A 50-image batch takes 10–25 seconds.

Is it free?

Anonymous: 1 batch/day. Free signed-in: 3 batches/day. Premium: 30 batches/day.
